Digboi Centenary Museum, Digboi

Digboi Centenary Park - Assam Oil Museum, Digboi

On 5th May 2015 we visited the Digboi Centenary Museum which showcases the history of oil exploration in Asia and the Digboi Town. It is the only one oil industry related museum in the country and maintained by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

The museum was inaugurated on 4th January, 2002 besides the historic Discovery Well No. 1. The Digboi Centenary Museum is a life gesture of the centenary celebration of Digboi Refinery  The museum offers a rich collection of machines, visuals, scale-models and photographs.

Tour of Thunder Dragon Bhutan - Maha Roadtrip 2014

Bikers of Assam Touring Club, Maha Roadtrip 2 - International
The Tour of Thunder Dragon – Bhutan

The longest Roadtrip of the year organized by Bikers Of Assam Touring Club is called Maha Roadtrip.
Initially Bhutan was the destination for our first Maha Roadtrip in 2013 but we changed the plan and decided to visit the important Cultural and Historical places of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. We visited Sivasagar - Kaziranga - Tezpur - Itanagar - Ziro & Majuli last year.  So the destination of Maha Roadtrip 2 - International was fixed more than a year ago.

The entry permits and route issue was solved by discussing the matter with some passionate travellers in various website and forum. Everyone is encouraged and motivated us to visit Bhutan.
We started our journey of our MahaRoadtrip2 - International on 1st Oct 2014 from Duliajan. Bijoy  rode his Bajaj Pulsar180, Madhurjya (Myself) and Arnab  in his Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 350, On the way we met Abhijit with his Bajaj Avenger 220, Mrinmoy his pillion, Jayanta & Om in Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
Thus Biker Of Assam Maha Roadtrip 2 – International was complete. It was a great trip and we got lot of new experience (first trek in life, first ride to the capital of a foreign country, escaped from an accident, the hospitality of Bhutanese and how they abide the law of the country).
